On the Pärnu-Uulu section VMS signs were activated based on road weather station data

06.11.2024

🌦️ Today, variable message signs installed by TRAFFEST started operating on the new Pärnu-Uulu 2+2 section of the Tallinn-Pärnu-Ikla road.

The VMS signs allow drivers to be informed about road and traffic conditions and to adapt speed limits according to the situation, ensuring greater road safety. The installed signs receive real-time information via the central traffic management system from the Reiu road weather station.

In good conditions, the maximum speed limit is 110 km/h, but lower in the animal crossing area.🫎

🚥 A total of 19 VMS signs (incl. 1 information sign), 3 traffic cameras, 2 traffic counters and the Rannametsa Road traffic light system were installed by TRAFFEST on the almost 10 km Pärnu-Uulu section.

⭕ The display of electronic road signs can be monitored in real time on the Tark Tee portal.
