The purpose of the SMART E67 project was to increase the efficiency and safety of passenger and freight transport on the main Estonian-Latvian transport corridor E67 by deploying Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). The developed solutions made traffic on the international route safer and smoother and contributed to reducing CO2 emissions🚗☘️

🚦TRAFFEST was the main ITS technology and software partner of the Transport Administration within the project, establishing a weather-adaptive speed limit change system for the first time in Estonia on the Tallinn-Pärnu-Ikla highway. During the works, 8 information boards, 18 speed limit signs and 12 warning/speed limit sign combinations were installed. TRAFFEST also supplied a software solution to the Traffic Control Center of the Transport Administration, which integrates Estonian road weather stations and variable message signs into a single system, thus enabling dynamic traffic management on Estonian roads.
